Privacy Policy

What information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Effective August 25, 2026

1. Overview

RobbJack Corporation (“RobbJack,” “we,” “us”) operates robbjack.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. It is also incorporated into our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit a quote, test-tool, special-tool, speeds & feeds, savings-calculator, distributor-locator, return, or contact request, fill out a process improvement report or log a test-tool run, sign up for our newsletter, request a portal login, place an order, or use the AI advisor, you may give us:

  • Contact and business details — name, title, company, email, phone, and mailing/shipping/billing address (street, city, state, ZIP);
  • Request details — material, application, the tool you run today, tool numbers, machines, cutting parameters, and any notes or files you submit;
  • Order information — items purchased and shipping address (payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number);
  • Messages you send to the AI advisor or our team;
  • Files you attach to a request (for example, part prints or drawings for a special-tool quote) — stored securely and used only to prepare and support your quote, including by the authorized RobbJack representative for your territory;
  • Test-tool and evaluation data — if you participate in our test-tool program or log a run, the machines, tools, parameters, and results you choose to record, used to support your evaluation and, only with your separate permission, case studies;
  • Account information — if you create a customer account, your email address and the machines and named setup sheets you choose to save. If you hold a Distributor & Rep Portal account, your business email, company, name, business phone and mailing address (which we may fill in from our customer records), and a securely hashed password (we never store passwords in readable form). Portal accounts also display business records that belong to your company — pricing, orders, quotes, and shipment history — drawn from our internal business systems, and authorized RobbJack staff can access a portal account's view for support and troubleshooting.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers collect standard usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps — through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies (including browser local storage used to remember your cart, compare list, and — on the speeds & feeds calculator — your last machine settings and recent setup sheets, and — on the log-a-run form and process improvement report — the contact details, name, title, shop, and department you previously entered so you don't retype them, stored only on your own device). If you sign in, we set a secure, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, we set a first-party cookie (90 days) that records the ad-click identifier so we can measure which of our own advertising leads to real inquiries and orders; see “Cookies, analytics & advertising measurement” below. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from bots on some features; it evaluates browser signals for that sole purpose.

Site analytics & session replay. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Site is used. Clarity may record how visitors interact with pages — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and page structure — with typed input masked. We use these tools to improve the Site and to measure the performance of our own advertising — not to build advertising profiles of you or to target you with ads across other sites. See “Cookies, analytics & advertising measurement” below for your choices.

AI advisor logs. To operate, secure, and improve the advisor, we log advisor conversations together with a one-way hashed (not raw) IP address. Conversations are processed by Anthropic (our AI provider) to generate responses. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the chat.

Process improvement reports. The machining cost calculator can generate a fill-in “Process Improvement Report.” What you type into it — your name and title, shop, part or job identifiers, machines, tools, cutting parameters, and notes — is saved into the page's own link (so you can bookmark, share, or return to your filled-out report) and is also transmitted to and retained by us when you print or download the report, copy its link, or leave the page. We use this information to support your evaluation, connect you with your distributor and the RobbJack representative for your territory, improve our application and tool-life data, and — only with your separate permission — develop case studies. Anyone you share the report link with can see what you typed, just as with an emailed copy.

California categories. The information above falls into these CPRA categories: identifiers (name, email, phone, address); commercial information (quotes and orders); internet or other electronic network activity (usage data, analytics, and ad-click measurement); coarse geolocation (derived from IP address); and professional information (company and role). We collect them from you and from your device or browser, for the business purposes in Section 3, and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 4. These disclosures describe our practices over the preceding 12 months. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, and we do not knowingly retain it if submitted.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your quote, test-tool, special-tool, speeds & feeds, savings, return, and contact requests;
  • Route your inquiry to the authorized RobbJack regional representative or distributor who serves your area;
  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and provide customer and application support;
  • Operate and improve the AI advisor (including reviewing conversations for quality and abuse prevention);
  • Send you follow-up about your inquiry, and product information, marketing, and sales-support communications relevant to your work — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time at robbjack.com/unsubscribe;
  • Measure the performance of our own advertising (which ads lead to inquiries and orders) — not to profile you or target you across other sites;
  • Maintain your account and store the machines and setup sheets you choose to save, so they are available when you sign in;
  • Operate the Distributor & Rep Portal — authenticate authorized accounts and display the pricing, orders, quotes, and shipment status that belong to your company;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Authorized representatives & distributors — we route your request and contact details to the RobbJack manufacturers’ representative or distributor for your territory so they can support and fulfill your order;
  • Service providers (processors) that operate the Site and our sales and marketing process on our behalf — including Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Brevo (our email-marketing and customer-communication platform, which stores contact details and form activity so we can follow up on your inquiry and send communications you can opt out of), Anthropic (the AI advisor / Claude), Google (Google Analytics and measurement of our own Google advertising), Microsoft (Clarity analytics), Cloudflare (Turnstile bot protection), our hosting provider (Vercel), Supabase (account database), and shipping carriers (e.g., UPS). Each is contractually limited in how it may use the information; our analytics providers may also use limited usage data to maintain and improve their own services;
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RobbJack, our customers, or others;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies, analytics & advertising measurement

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (security, sign-in sessions, remembering your cart and preferences), for analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which may include session replay with typed input masked, as described above), and to measure our own advertising (a first-party cookie recording the Google ad-click identifier when you arrive from one of our ads, so we can tell which ads produce real inquiries). We do not use these tools for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not permit them to build advertising profiles of you.

Your choices: you can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings (some features may not work without essential cookies); you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout); and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — a browser that sends GPC gets no analytics, no session replay, and no ad-click measurement at all. Our Site does not respond to legacy browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, because no common standard exists for them; GPC is the signal we honor.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, using these criteria for each category: inquiry and lead records (including attached drawings and prints) — while your inquiry is active, plus the period during which follow-up on your interest is reasonable; order and transaction records — as long as required for business, tax, warranty, and accounting purposes; AI advisor logs — a limited period for quality and abuse prevention; marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe or we determine the contact is no longer active; account and portal information — while your account remains active. When information is no longer needed under these criteria, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, one-way hashing of account passwords, server-side handling of secrets and credentials, login-gated access to distributor pricing and order data, rate limiting and bot protection on public forms, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe (we never receive your full card number). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

RobbJack is a United States company and the Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Your choices & rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time — instantly and without signing in — at robbjack.com/unsubscribe or via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us (see Contact below). We will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know and access the personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — and we honor the GPC opt-out signal regardless. You may submit requests by email or phone (see Contact); an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR). Where the GDPR applies, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. We process personal data to perform a contract with you, with your consent, and for our legitimate business interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

10. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date; material changes may be highlighted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
