- Standard P810 drills are 2 flute with a 118°, 4-facet drill point in jobber lengths; the diamond coating extends a minimum of one diameter from the drill tip (pg 108)
- 10–20x tool life over carbide: in the NIST program with Boeing, drilling 0.30" carbon fiber laminate at 235 SFM / 0.003 IPR, carbide lasted ~200 holes, PCD ~1,500, and Crystallume DCC 2,700 holes before hitting the 50 lb thrust limit
- Jobber drills 1/32"–1/4" (per-size diameter tolerances published, e.g. 1/8" = +0.0001/+0.0010"); center drills #00–#5 with 60° countersink, coated on one end
- Aircraft drills 0.0980"–0.3765" dia, 1.4–1.5" flute, 2.7" OAL in two point styles: P810 118° 4-facet and F104 elliptical tip; drill dia tolerance +0.0000/−0.0005" (pg 106)
- 4-flute low-helix Drill/Reamer (118°/17° tip) drills and reams a precision hole in CFRC material in one step: nine stock sizes 0.1280"–0.3140", diameter tolerance +0.0002/−0.0000", 1/4" h6 shank; recommended start 225 SFM and 10 IPM (pg 107)
- Runs dry, wet, cold air or spray mist in aluminum, copper, magnesium, brass, plastics, composites and graphite; re-sharpenable geometry advantages vs PCD
