Diamond-coated carbide drills — 10–20x the tool life of carbide in composites and graphite
- Standard P810 drills are 2 flute with a 118°, 4-facet drill point in jobber lengths; the diamond coating extends a minimum of one diameter from the drill tip (pg 108)
- 10–20x tool life over carbide: in the NIST program with Boeing, drilling 0.30" carbon fiber laminate at 235 SFM / 0.003 IPR, carbide lasted ~200 holes, PCD ~1,500, and Crystallume DCC 2,700 holes before hitting the 50 lb thrust limit
- Jobber drills 1/32"–1/4" (per-size diameter tolerances published, e.g. 1/8" = +0.0001/+0.0010"); center drills #00–#5 with 60° countersink, coated on one end
- Aircraft drills 0.0980"–0.3765" dia, 1.4–1.5" flute, 2.7" OAL in two point styles: P810 118° 4-facet and F104 elliptical tip; drill dia tolerance +0.0000/−0.0005" (pg 106)
- 4-flute low-helix Drill/Reamer (118°/17° tip) drills and reams a precision hole in CFRC material in one step: nine stock sizes 0.1280"–0.3140", diameter tolerance +0.0002/−0.0000", 1/4" h6 shank; recommended start 225 SFM and 10 IPM (pg 107)
- Runs dry, wet, cold air or spray mist in aluminum, copper, magnesium, brass, plastics, composites and graphite; re-sharpenable geometry advantages vs PCD

Carbide geometries with the wear resistance of diamond.
The P810 is RobbJack's diamond-coated (DCC) carbide drill line for graphite and composites. It gives you the geometries that used to be only available in carbide together with the wear resistance of diamond. Standard diamond-coated carbide drills are 2-flute with a 118 degree, 4-facet drill point in jobber lengths, with the diamond coating extending a minimum of one diameter from the drill tip. The line includes jobber drills, center drills (one end coated), aircraft drills, and a 4-flute low-helix drill/reamer (118 degree/17 degree) designed to drill and ream a precision hole in CFRC material in one step. Available as specials in sizes from 0.028" to 0.750", including metric.
