RobbJack's PCD-tipped diamond drills bring the geometries once available only in carbide together with the wear resistance of diamond. They drill and ream carbon fiber in a single operation with minimal delamination or uncut fibers, and the PCD tips can be re-sharpened. A new and revolutionary PCD manufacturing technology improves tool quality, PCD adhesion to the tool body, and heat resistance during cutting, enabling tool performance that was once impossible. The flagship Single Shot PCD-13520 series uses a new 135 degree/20 degree 8-faceted tip design, called the best drill for the widest variety of carbon fiber, and delivered $548,000 in cost savings per year in a wing spar case study with over 13,000 linear inches of life in aircraft CFRP. Additional point geometries include a 118 degree 4-facet (PCD-118), a W Point (PCD-11987), and a Composite Taper Tip 118 degree/62 degree 8-facet (CTT).
